Streamlining Device Deployment and Management with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and Autopilot
Speaker: Norm Findlay
This session provides a practical look at using Microsoft endpoint manager and Windows Autopilot to modernize device deployment and management in educational and organizational environments.
The presentation will focus on how Autopilot can be used to deploy Windows devices for staff and faculty reducing deployment time and staff downtime. We will highlight real-world onboarding scenarios, used at Saint Mary’s.
We will also discuss foundational approaches to using Autopilot in shared environments such as computer labs and classrooms, including considerations for preparing devices between academic terms.
In addition, the session will touch on Microsoft endpoint manager concepts, including basic policy management, application deployment, and endpoint security from a centralized, cloud-based platform. Examples will emphasize practical use cases and lessons learned, showing how Intune and Autopilot can reduce operational overhead and improve the end-user experience.
This presentation is ideal for IT professionals and system administrators who are new to Intune or Autopilot, or who are looking to better understand how these tools can support modern device management.
